Both Museums are closed until further notice due to the pandemic.
A warm welcome awaits at both of the Elizabeth Historical Society's museums located in downtown Elizabeth, Illinois. The Elizabeth Historical Society offers the perfect opportunity to learn more about Jo Daviess county's hidden treasures in the Elizabeth History House and the Chicago Great Western Railway Depot Museum.
Both museums are open each weekend from May through October. Hours of operation are from 11:00am until 3:00pm. Special appointments are available: (815) 858-2343. Depot Museum is open Saturday and Sunday, while the History House is open Saturdays only. Both are Blue Star Museums, free to active servicemen and families.
